Let’s go over what you need to know about shipping a vehicle domestically.

Get familiar with our vehicle shipping process
Step 1. Get an online quote
If you’re an individual moving your own vehicle, simply enter a pickup and delivery zip code; information about your vehicle and information about yourself into our online online quote tool. Step 2. Choose open or enclosed
When shipping your vehicle, you have the choice of an open carrier or an enclosed carrier. There are advantages and disadvantages to both, but the decision is up to you and your unique situation. Click here to learn more about each option.
Step 3. Ready to move
Now that you’ve chosen your shipping method, a carrier from our network of 5,000+ highly reputable, licensed, bonded and insured carriers will be assigned to your order and estimated pick-up and delivery dates will be set.
Step 4. Consult the preparation checklist(s)
There are several things you’ll be required to do to make sure your vehicle is prepped and ready for its trip. Fortunately, Reindeer has created helpful checklist of what you’ll need to do for your auto, motorcycle and/or watercraft. And, as always, call us with any questions.
Step 5. Hand over the keys
Once your vehicle is ready to go, hand us the keys and we’ll take it from there. For the move, you will be assigned a relocation coordinator to help make the process a stress-free experience. Your coordinator is dedicated to you from pick-up to delivery to ensure your car makes it to your destination of choice safely. They will proactively communicate the progress of the transit with you all along the way.
Step 6. Your vehicle is delivered
Our carrier will deliver your vehicle to you safely and in an efficient manner to your chosen destination. Reindeer’s carriers deliver 7 days a week during daylight hours only to enable proper inspection of the vehicle.
